PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Following a Diocesan recruitment process, I have accepted a 12 month appointment as a member of the Leadership and Professional Growth Team based at the Catholic Education Office Wollongong. The position is for the 2023 school year. I have right-of-return to Nazareth in 2024. Lisa Tyson will be Acting Principal at Nazareth for the 2023 school year. The role of Acting Assistant Principal is still to be finalized. I wish to congratulate Lisa and I extend my sincere thanks to her, for her preparedness to accept this significant role. I am confident that Nazareth will be in very good hands next year and I know that the school and parish community will be highly supportive of Lisa and the Nazareth staff. Lisa’s leadership will ensure that the tremendous culture of the school will continue to flourish, that being a culture based on our Catholic Faith, a focus on learning and genuine care for each child.
I remind everyone of the date claimed for our whole school end of year Christmas celebration – Tuesday Dec 13. Families are invited to gather in the Nazareth school grounds with a picnic rug (and chairs) and a picnic dinner. The children will present the Christmas story in song and role play. Families can gather in the school grounds from 5:30 pm
Also, our school colour run will be held on Friday Dec 9. Parent assistance will be required on the day to assist with the event. Details will be forwarded from the Nazareth P&F. A free sausage sizzle will be provided on the day and family members are welcome to join the school for the event which will be held between 11:00am – 1:00pm.
Congratulations to the children from across the All Saints Parish who recently received their first Holy Communion. Thank you to Fr Joe and all those that assisted and supported the children with their preparation and the organisation on the day of First Communion.
Take care and enjoy the week ahead.
