Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 will complete the PRC at school, reading books as a class. The K-2 teachers will complete their reading challenge logs.
Students in Years 3, 4 5 and 6 are invited to participate in the PRC individually, with the goal of reading a total of 20 books. (10 of these books need to be nominated PRC books and the other 10 books may be of personal choice).
Students who complete the PRC will have their name displayed in the school library. Congratulations to those who have already completed the PRC, our library display is growing!
NSW Government Student Learning Library
The NSW Government has created an excellent resource to support learning at home in English and Mathematics for Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 students. Please click on the link to view the video explaining how to access and navigate this resource.
This site can be very useful for parents to assist their children who are having an extended period of leave due to illness or holiday.
We have recently had a number of complaints from our surrounding neighbours about parking over driveways and also in the Walloaroo Pre School car park next door.
Please see the below points to ensure the safety of our students here at Nazareth.
- drop your child off and pick them up on the school side of the road
- never call out to them from across the road - it is very dangerous
- always take extra care in 40km school zones
- follow all parking signs - these help keep your child as safe as possible
- park responsibly even if it means you have to walk further to the school gate
- never double park - it is illegal and puts children at risk
- never do a U-turn or a three point turn outside the school as it puts children at risk of harm
- model safe and considerate pedestrian and driver behaviours to your child
- always give way to pedestrians, particularly when entering and leaving driveways.
