RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS
Thank you Stage 1
Thank you to all of the Stage 1 families and friends who celebrated Pentecost at the Saturday evening mass last weekend. It is one of the most important feast days of the year that concludes the Easter season and celebrates the beginning of the Church, occurring 50 days after the death and resurrection of Jesus, and ten days after his ascension into heaven.
Confirmation
Year 6 students are moving closer to their sacrament of Confirmation on Tuesday, 18 July and Wednesday, 19 July. Students are in Week 2 of their workshops and thank you to the parents for bringing your children and supporting their faith journey towards this most important sacrament. Just a reminder for the students to colour the dove and place their name on it and either return it at one of the workshops or bring it to one of the Year 6 teachers. If you cannot make it to your designated workshop, please hop into another workshop in that week.
This weekend at mass leaflets will be distributed containing information that advises families of the Mass in which their child will be confirmed.
Wednesday Mass and Faith & Learning visits
This week Year 3 will be attending the 9am mass. After mass we would love all of the families to join their children in the classroom to enjoy a snapshot of their learning. Next week Year 1 will be celebrating mass, followed by a classroom visit. We warmly invite all parents, family members or friends who wish to join the children at any of the Wednesday masses.
All mass times can be found in the All Saints Parish Bulletin and all other important information. A link can be found on the Parish Website: https://www.dow.org.au/parish/all-saints-catholic-parish-shellharbour-city
