LEARNING with 1S
1S have had a very busy and exciting start to term 4! Library visit, Chicks/Ducks, Socktober fun, class reward (with another one coming) and our excursion to the education centre at Wollongong Botanic Gardens amongst other things!
We have welcomed two new class members - William and Chidubem!
At the beginning of the term we were lucky enough to have chicks and ducklings for our Science unit on life cycles. We really enjoyed watching the chicks and ducks hatch and observe how they grow and change over the two weeks we definitely learnt a lot about life cycles.

We were also finally able to visit Shellharbour City Library (after our first visit was rained out) and were so excited to learn and explore the different areas of the library.
On Tuesday we visited Wollongong Botanic Gardens. It was such a beautiful day and the gardens looked amazing. We learnt about lots of insects, bees, life cycles of the sunflower, filtering water and tropical and desert plants. It was a great experience for all of us.

We still have a few more weeks to go and are looking forward to it!
