LEARNING with The Learning Centre
It has been a very busy term in the Learning Centre.
In Mathematics, we have been learning about the concept of “mass”. We have used balance scales to identify objects that are heavy and light. Did you know, that a 5 minute timer is heavier than a 15 minute timer. We work hard every day on our number knowledge, by writing numbers, counting numbers and playing a whole range of maths games.
In English, we have been learning about informative texts. We have focused on different animals and learnt different facts about them. Did you know that koalas are not actually bears. We enjoy learning by playing lots of different games. A few favourites is the fly swatting game and bingo.
Our Year 5 students got to go to camp. They enjoyed the silent disco at night time.
