First Holy Communion

If your child is in Year 3 or older, they have completed the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and you would like your child to receive First Holy Communion, names will be taken after each of the masses on the weekend of 23/24 August. On the weekend of 30/31 August the information timetable, enrolment forms and attendance cards will be distributed after each mass. Please allow 20 minutes after mass for this to occur. The celebration of the Sacrament of First Holy Communion will take place on Sunday, 23 November. If you are presenting your child for First Holy Communion, please ensure that you keep that weekend free.

Bishop’s Mass

Last Tuesday, Year 6 took part in a very special mass celebrated by Bishop Brian Mascord at Ss Peter & Paul Kiama. They joined fellow Year 6 students from other schools across the region creating a meaningful experience for everyone. Harper and Scarlett opened the mass with a welcome and Welcome to Country. Twelve students enacted an outstanding liturgical movement, coordinated by Mrs Constable, after Thanksgiving in the mass. After mass students came together and shared lunch with students from other schools and then were treated to beach play in the sunshine. It was a wonderful experience to connect and celebrate together and all Year 6 students were outstanding in their presentation and behaviour.

Feast of the Assumption

This Friday at 9:30am there will be a whole school mass shared with Stella Maris at 9:30am for the Feast of the Assumption. This feast day is always celebrated on 15 August each year and commemorates the belief that our Mother Mary was taken body and soul into heaven at the end of her earthly life. It is a solemnity and considered of great importance to the church. All are welcome to join us for this special feast day on Friday morning.

Wednesday Mass and Faith & Learning visits

There will be no Faith and Learning visit this week due to the whole school mass on Friday. Next week Year 6 will be attending Wednesday mass at 9am and then all families are warmly invited to join their children in the classroom to explore their learning.
