RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS
First Holy Communion
This weekend at mass students will be given their Eucharist booklets and parents will be advised of workshop preferences at the end of each of the weekend masses. Workshops will begin on Tuesday of Week 1 and parents will sign their child in via a QR code at the workshop. All workshops will be held in the Year 6 classrooms. Remember, you are to attend the workshops with your child and students MUST bring their workbooks with them.
Just a reminder that the celebration of the Sacrament of First Holy Communion will take place on Sunday, 23 November at 11am. Please ensure that you keep that weekend free.
Socktober
In October, Nazareth School will celebrate Mission Month with Socktober, which is a fun and educative celebration of World Mission Month. It is a comprehensive education, formation, and fundraising initiative that engages school communities and children in the global work of Mission.
Our Socktober Shootout will be on Friday, 31 October (Week 3). This day will be a mufti day for all students and they are asked to bring a donation on the day. Students will make their own class ‘socker’ ball and each class will try to blast their ball past Mr Edwards! There will be a K-2 competition and a Years 3-6 competition. More information is to follow
Wednesday Mass and Faith & Learning visits
This week, Year 5 attended Mass on Wednesday at 9am and it was great to see so many families joining their children back in the classroom to explore their learning.
Next term, Year 2 will experience the first Faith and Learning visit in Week 2 and we look forward to seeing as many families as possible.
