LIDS 4 KIDS
Thank you again for your amazing contributions. We have some students here working hard to count up the lids so we can give you all a count of how we are going. This process takes time as the lids have to be sorted into colours and shades, counted and in some cases cleaned. Can we request that you pull out all foam inserts from milk bottle lids and rinse all lids as some have developed mould that can be hazardous for our students to come into contact with.
OUTDOOR CLASSROOM DAY
Outdoor Classroom Day takes place on the 7th of November this year. This event aims to encourage teachers to take their class outside for the day or a lesson as part of connecting to our environment. On Thursday this week teachers have been asked to take their class outside for a lesson.
WASTE FREE WEDNESDAYS
Our Waste Free Wednesdays have been a hit with many students taking part in this day each week. We have been handing out our gnome trophies to the classes who have had the highest amount students bring a waste free lunch on Wednesdays. If you have any questions about how to achieve a waste free lunch, please have a look at the attachment that was sent out on Compass. Mrs Rowles has been in contact with a few sustainable businesses and has secured some discount codes to use on full price items on their websites. The websites are as follows:
