RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS
EASTER TO PENTECOST
As we return to school we are at the end of the Easter Season in the Church Year. This week our sacred spaces are white. This weekend is Pentecost, an opportunity to have the red cloth on the prayer space for a couple of days. At Pentecost, the Holy Spirit comes to the disciples encouraging them to spread the Good News.
On Friday 29th May at 9:00am the whole school will join together at 9:00am via Zoom to pray together to celebrate Pentecost. This will be followed by the announcement of weekly awards. Parents are most welcome to join in via Zoom using the Meeting ID: 95624102482
Please respect that all members will be asked to enter the prayer on mute and adhere to our Remote Learning Guidelines for participating in Zoom Meetings.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION IN REMOTE LEARNING

PROJECT COMPASSION
The Project Compassion appeal came to an end at Easter. If you have a full or partially full Project Compassion box at home, the school is collecting these and will forward monies to Project Compassion. Please return all boxes by the end of next week.
NATIONAL RECONCILIATION WEEK
This week classes were involved in activities to celebrate National Reconciliation Week. The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2020 is In This Together.
Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
For the Catholic Church in Australia, this week offers us a time to be fully the Church that Jesus wants us to be - a Church in which Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples make their own unique contribution and that contribution is joyfully received by others.
