PARISH NEWS

LATEST INFORMATION ABOUT ALL SAINTS CATHOLIC PARISH

All Saints Catholic Parish is open for Masses, Weddings, Funerals and Baptisms.

PLEASE CONTACT THE PARISH OFFICE TO REGISTER FOR THE VIGIL & SUNDAY MASSES. Registering for Mass attendance

Detailed guideline for public masses available on the Parish Facebook community page for you reference and on the Diocesan website (Click the link above).

Brief overview of how we will proceed:

  • Only 50 registered parishioners will be allowed entry (in addition to clergy and essential assistants). At the time of registration the full names and contact phone numbers for all worshippers will be collected.
  • You must register anew each week for every mass.
  • Unless it is deemed necessary parishioners do not need to register for Weekday Masses. (parishioner attendance exceeds 50)
  • Parish-appointed Attendance Monitors will check names against a list to ensure all worshippers attending have registered
  • Parishioners must sanitise their hands upon entry using provided sanitiser at doors of the building
  • Allocated seating will be marked with stickers to ensure 1.5m distance between parishioners
  • Communion will be received in the hand only (not on the tongue)
  • The Attendance Monitors will maintain alertness to identify parishioners presenting with flu-like symptoms (cough, runny nose, etc.) and advise any parishioners with symptoms they must leave the premises
  • Parishioners that do not feel well on the day should remain at home.
  • Parishioners classified as vulnerable per AHPPC guidelines are encouraged not to attend physically
  • Because of possible aerosol transmission, congregational singing is prohibited at this time

Church/Chapels will not be open for Private Prayer under the current directives due to the significant cleaning and sanitising requirements that are involved to protect parishioners, clergy, parish staff and volunteers.

Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) AHPPC considers that, based on the limited current evidence, the following people are, or are likely to be, at higher risk of serious illness if they are infected with the virus.

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 50 years and older with one or more chronic medical conditions.
  • People 65 years and older with chronic medical conditions. Conditions included in the definition of ‘chronic medical conditions’ will be refined as more evidence emerges. The most current list can be accessed on the Department of Health website.
  • People 70 years and older
  • People with compromised immune systems (see Department of Health website)
  • There is limited evidence at this time regarding the risk in pregnant women
