WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR CREATION
The World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation is held each year on the 1st September. This day marks the beginning of the Season of Creation, an annual event that encourages prayer and action for our common home which runs from 1st September through to 4th October. In recent years, thousands of Catholics on six continents have organised local activities to celebrate the Season of Creation.

Just a note to clarify a number of questions about the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. The Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Sacrament of First Holy Communion are two separate programs requiring two separate payments of $20. The payment covers Parish costs of the booklets, along with a memento that the children will receive once they receive the Sacrament. Children have received the booklet for Reconciliation and will receive another booklet to complete for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion at the beginning of Term 4.
As for why there is a need to provide details of Baptism, this assists the record keeping for the Parish. Having the details again listed on the First Holy Communion form, ensures that details can be easily entered into the system. The Baptism Certificate only needs to be supplied if it wasn’t supplied at the time of Reconciliation enrolment and your child was baptised outside the All Saints Parish.
If your child did not receive a note regarding the Sacraments, I have spare copies at school.
