RELIGIOUS EDUCATION with 3L

Over the past few weeks, 3L have been learning how to pray so that we can better develop our relationship with God. We have learnt that prayer is when we have a conversation with God and that there are many different types of prayers such as:

  • Prayer of sorrow - when we say sorry for our mistakes and ask God for forgiveness.
  • Prayer of praise - when we praise God for the incredible creations in the world.
  • Prayer of thanksgiving - when we thank God for the things we are lucky to have.
  • Prayer of petition  - when we ask God for help for ourselves or other people.

Here are some prayers of thanksgiving that have been written by students in 3L:

Dear generous God,

Thank you for my family that loves and cares for me. Thank you for the  food that we eat everyday and for the water we drink when we are thirsty. Thank you for my friends that care about me, make me laugh and help me to have fun when I’m not feeling the best. Thank you for the eyes, ears, hands, legs, mouth, fingers and everything you have given me. Thank you for the beautiful nature, sun and  sky.

Amen~

Dear generous God,

Thank you for giving me a loving and caring family. Thank you for giving me talents and abilities. Thank you for giving me food on a table, water to drink and a bed to sleep in. Thank you God, you are very generous.

Amen
