This week 3H are focusing on belonging to the Catholic community through the Sacrament of Baptism. 

Students remembered times when they had been to baptisms of friends or family members and described the processes involved.

We looked at the importance of being welcomed the church by the Sign of the Cross given from the Priest, Parents and Godparents, the blessing of the holy water, why the colour white is the colour used for baptisms, the use of the oil of Chrism and why the candle is lit from the Paschal or Easter candle and blessed by the Priest.
