CROSS COUNTRY REPORT

It was such a buzz to be able to return to the Cross Country Championships at ‘Willandra’!

Congratulations to every student who ran the 2 km course, showing wonderful determination and sportspersonship. The pace of every race was very challenging!

Thank you to the parents, grandparents and carers for supporting our runners with transport to the event and with their great cheering for the Nazareth Squad. A special thanks to Mr Markovski for being a marshal for the day. 

A big thank you to our reserve runners who replaced students who could not run.

Special congratulations to two students who qualified to compete at Eastern Creek for the Wollongong Diocese at the MacKillop Cross Country Championships:

*Reid Coehlo 1st place in 8/9 yrs male

*Sonny Cocksedge 5th place 10 yrs male

Training will continue for the students who have qualified for the MacKillop Championships. Students who competed at ‘ Willandra’ are also welcome to continue to train. A training session will be held on Thursday mornings commencing at 7.40- 8.10 a.m. from Thursday May 6th. 

RUGBY LEAGUE AND LEAGUE TAG GALA DAY

On Friday the 30th April, we took 7 rugby league and league tag teams to the league legends gala day. We had two 3/4 boys teams,  a 5/6 boys team and four 5/6 girls League Tag Teams. All teams played in the spirit of the game, displaying good sportsmanship and having fun. Thank you to the parent helpers, students and staff for making it a great day and enjoyable for all.
