PB4L
The current PB4L focus is on the use of settling and calming practices. The playground can be a very stimulating environment with less structure than the classroom learning environment, and students benefit from activities to assist with transitioning back into the learning environment of the classroom. Students have been engaging in settling and calming activities after their breaks to ensure their bodies and minds are ready for learning. A variety of activities are used depending on the needs of the students. Some of the activities used may include meditation, mindfulness activities, drawing or quiet independent tasks. Parents and carers can help by talking with their children about some of the activities they do at school after playground breaks.
