Our Religion unit for the beginning of term 3 is about the stories of God’s people. We have been learning a lot about the Bible and have been listening to many parables that Jesus told to help his followers understand what God’s Kingdom is like. Recently we listened to the “Parable of the Yeast” where Jesus says:

“The Kingdom of Heaven is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough”

1H now understands that the Kingdom of God is like many things, including yeast which helps the smallest thing grow into something larger. Some clever 1H children used their baking and cooking skills to make bread and pancakes after watching how bread is made. Look at the pictures of our future chefs from 1H.
