PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
It has been fantastic this week, to welcome students back to school to recommence face to face teaching and learning. Kindergarten and Year 1 students were welcomed back last week and all other Grades this week. The children are happy and I’ve been impressed with how they have adapted and have made a smooth transition back to school. I have enjoyed spending time with each class, telling the children that they did very well with their remote learning but it is far better to have children back at school learning in the classroom.
I acknowledge that there still is a high degree of uncertainty in the broader community, in relation to matters associated with COVID. Please be assured that the Nazareth staff will ensure for the children, that there is consistency of routine and numerous opportunities each day to be engaged with learning.
The Level 3 plus classification for the school remains which means a number of restrictions are in place in accord with Public Health Orders. I will keep all parents / carers informed as required in relation to changes.
Tomorrow, October 29 is World Teachers Day, a day to acknowledge the extra-ordinary work of teachers. We are blessed at Nazareth to have highly dedicated teachers who are always prepared to do what is required to support each child. This has certainly been highlighted during the recent extended time of remote learning.
Take care and enjoy the week ahead.
