This week our PB4L focus is on revising and teaching the students vital social skills to assist them in interacting with others in the playground. The skills and activities that are being focused on are resilience, belonging, cohesion and problem solving, so that Nazareth students can play together on the playground in a safe and respectful way. Teachers will focus on the following key points with their class:

• How to initiate an interaction appropriately;
• How to include and listen to the opinions of others;
• How to manage emotions when we get out in a game, or when things don’t go our way in play; 
• What to do if someone doesn’t want to play;
• How to negotiate rules and solve a disagreement;
• How to take turns and share equipment.
