1H is very excited to take part in their Science unit for term 3. They will be learning about how to code and some special language they might use when coding. 1H started learning about coding by doing some unplugged coding which does not involve any technology at all. The children in 1H started unplugged coding by giving a friend directions and instructions to find an object. They also worked with a partner where one person was the programmer and the other was the computer. The programmer had to give the computer instructions to make a small Lego object. Below are some pictures of the results of the computer and programmer activity.

Throughout the term 1H will also be able to do some plugged coding using Bee-Bots and iPad apps. They can’t wait!
