Nazareth hosted the annual Year 6 Mass with Bishop Brian Mascord which included the Year 6 students from 10 other Catholic schools from the Wollongong Diocese, along with a number of guests from other parishes and the Catholic Education Office. I wish to extend my thanks to the many people who were involved with the organisation of the day. In particular my thanks to the Year 5 students who welcomed the 600 guests and the Year 6 students who set up the pergolas, ground covers and prepared the photo slide show shown in the Hall after Mass. It was a day which showcased our impressive All Saints Church and Nazareth school site and it was a memorable opportunity to share in the celebration of Mass with our Bishop.

Year 3 and Year 5 NAPLAN data is now available to school Principals and I am pleased to inform the school community that our students have performed well in the series of 4 NAPLAN assessments. Hard copy reports will be distributed to parents as soon as the school takes delivery of the reports from the National Education Standards Authority (NESA). The NAPLAN data is in the process of being analysed by the school’s Leadership Team and the findings will assist refining the delivery of learning and teaching across the school.
