1S have been doing a lot of work and having a lot of fun with our new class pet Rex.

In Religion we have been learning about how special the Bible is and listening to Bible stories and the word Precious!

In English, we are learning about comprehension strategies when we are reading. We have been visualising, predicting and making connections so far. Here are some pictures of us visualising and predicting.

In writing we are learning how to write recounts and use time connective words, like first, next, then and finally. We are also learning how to re read our work to check that it makes sense.

We are becoming great writers.

In Science we are learning how to code and had a great time programming our bee bots to make them go where we want them too. This is helping us learn positional language especially our left and right in mathematics.

We are reading book week books and really looking forward to celebrating book week!
