On behalf of the Nazareth school community I wish to acknowledge and thank Mrs Julie Norris (Year 3 teacher), Mrs Jessica Shelton (Kinder teacher) ,Mrs Gemma Bolton (Executive Assistant to the Principal) and Mrs Lisa Giles (casual indenture teacher) for their excellent work at Nazareth. Mrs Norris will be on Leave next year and will spend time with her family, Mrs Shelton will be teaching at Stella Maris School, Mrs Bolton will continue her studies in education so as to pursue a career in teaching and Mrs Giles will be teaching at St John’s Dapto. Nazareth has been blessed to have had these outstanding staff members and I wish each of them all the very best for 2020.
Nazareth school will welcome 2 new teachers at the start of the new school year. Ms Erin Steepe will be teaching Year 4 and Mr Jarrod Reid will be teaching Year 5.
I wish all families a happy, holy and joyful Christmas. During the coming weeks I hope that everyone has time to enjoy what you have planned and that the time ahead allows you to focus on the important things in your life. For those traveling, please travel safely. The staff and I look forward to welcoming you back to Nazareth next year.

ST VINCENT DE PAUL CHRISTMAS APPEAL
Thank you to all who have donated a food item to our appeal Christmas Appeal this year. These items were presented to St Vincent de Paul at our Christmas Concert on Tuesday evening. Mr Brendon Newton, President of the local St Vincent de Paul branch was greatly appreciative of the efforts of the Nazareth community.
At the Christmas Concert on Tuesday evening, $586.90 was collected to donate towards St. Vincent de Paul. Thank you to all for your support to those who are in need.
MONSIGNOR BRYAN JONES FAREWELL
Last week Nazareth staff had a chance to farewell Father Bryan Jones with a morning tea. A donation was given to Father Bryan’s charity of choice as a gift. We wish Father Bryan all the best as he begins the next stage in his life’s journey.

IGNATION MEDAL
A huge congratulations to Ashley B who has recieved an Ignation Medal.
Mrs Rowles and the environmental team would like to acknowledge the hard work and support of the students, staff and families who have supported all the various environmental initiatives.
The lids 4 kids inititive collected a huge 28,798 lids for a very important cause. A big thank you to Mrs J, Miss Biggs & Mrs Norris for all the assistance in collecting and counting the lids.
We have several bins that the school no longer requires after we purchased new bins throughout. If you would like a bin for free, please contact the school office or see Mrs Rowles.
SUPPORTING THOSE IMPACTED BY DROUGHT
The Nazareth P&F have made a $500 donation to St Mary’s Catholic Primary School Warren. Warren is a small rural town in Western NSW and is significantly impacted by the drought. The money will be used to support the children but most importantly it will be spent in the town so as assist local business. Mrs Terina McNair Principal of the school extends her sincere thanks and will keep us informed on how the money will be spent in the town.
