I extend my best wishes to all parents/carers during this time of escalating uncertainty and again reassure everyone that I monitor all aspects of information relating to COVID -19 very closely. The school continues to follow current health advice and is well placed to implement changes if or when required. Please be assured that communication with you remains a priority.
I thank all parents/carers for your ongoing cooperation with arrangements associated with the afternoon pick up of students. The recent adjustments of time and the adding of additional staff to support the process has improved the traffic flow and lessened traffic congestion in the area.
I encourage you take time to pray the following prayer and suggest that you call to mind all those who are significantly impacted by COVID-19. Also I ask that you pray for the people of Lebanon following the recent disaster in Beirut, a number of Nazareth families have been impacted.
Loving God,
You desire wholeness and well being for all Your people.
We hold in tenderness and prayer
the collective suffering of our world at this time.
We hold before You those whose lives have been lost and seek peace and healing for vulnerable lives that are threatened.
We pray for ourselves and our neighbours,
standing before an uncertain future.
Inspire our leaders to discern and decide wisely.
May all they choose be aligned with the common good.
Help us to love responsibly and ethically.
Reveal to us new and creative ways
to come together in spirit and in solidarity.
Call us to profound trust in your faithful presence,
May we, your servants,
be witnesses and examples for your redeeming love
We ask this through the Risen Christ, Amen
Take care and enjoy the week ahead.

2020 PARISH SACRAMENTAL PROGRAMMES UPDATE
Dear Parents, Guardians,
Covid-19 has surely turned things upside down in all aspects of life. In particular our Sacramental Programs, the First Reconciliation, Holy Communion, and the Sacrament of Confirmation. The Programs are designed to be a Parish and Parents Partnership with School Support. Unfortunately, we have to prepare our children for the Sacrament differently this year. All of our sessions will be held at Nazareth and Stella Maris Parish School at the commencement of Term 4. We will need parents to work with their children, completing Home Activities each week, the children will do their class activities during the sessions at School. For the State School Children, classes will be held on Sunday afternoon at 3pm.
First Reconciliation will be celebrated during the School hours.
First Holy Communion (subject to Covid restrictions) will be celebrated 3:00PM Saturday 28 November 2020, 11:00AM Sunday 29 November 2020.
Confirmation (subject to Covid restrictions) will be celebrated 6:00PM Thursday 5 November 2020, 6:00PM Friday 6 November 2020.
First Reconciliation & Holy Communion
The sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion are combined as the Parish’s Partners Program. Attendance at this program is compulsory for both children and their parents, and children must be in year 3 at school or older to complete the program. For children attending State School please register your child by contacting the Parish Office during office hours.

CONGRATULATIONS TO SISTER KERRY
DIAMOND JUBILEE OF RELIGIOUS PROFESSION
Due to Covid 19 restrictions, the Celebration of the Diamond Jubilee of Religious profession for Sr Kerry Barrass, which was planned for Saturday 8th August this year has been postponed till next year, 22nd May 2021. However, we would like to congratulate Sr Kerry on reaching the 60 year milestone of Religious Vows. We pray in thanksgiving with Kerry for the gift of Religious Life and are grateful for her ministry in the Parish over the past 16 years. Congratulations and God bless.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION with Kindergarten
In Religion, Kindergarten have been learning about what happens at Mass. We can’t visit our church so we looked at photos of objects we see in the church. We made tabernacles, chalices, candles, bibles, crucifixes and altars out of playdoh.

We also drew pictures of parts of the Mass and items we see in our church.

In Science, Kindergarten have been learning about Living Things and what they need to grow. We have discovered that plants need nutrients like food and water and sunshine. We are also learning how the weather impacts on living things. We have been learning how to measure the temperature and the rainfall.
Look at how our vegetables seedlings and our bean seeds are growing!
