ST MARY OF THE CROSS MACKILLOP
Next Monday Year 4 will be presenting the prayer celebration for the Feast of St Mary of the Cross Mackillop at 1:50pm in the hall. All families are welcome to attend.
FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION
Next Thursday is the Feast of the Assumption and is a Holy Day of Obligation. Years 3-6 will be attending Mass at 9am. All families are welcome to attend.
CONFIRMATION AND LIFE PROGRAM
On Tuesday night Year 6 attended the second session for the Confirmation and Life program in preparation for their upcoming Sacrament of Confirmation.

BISHOP'S MASS
Last Tuesday Year 6 celebrated Mass with Bishop Brian at Ss Peter & Paul Kiama. All students thoroughly enjoyed this special Mass, especially the singing, and were a credit to the school with their behaviour.
GRANDPARENTS DAY
On Friday 16th August, we will celebrate Grandparents Day at Nazareth.
The day will begin at 9:00am in the school hall with a prayer celebration. Following this a light morning tea will be offered to Grandparents in the hall. Grandparents are then invited to visit the children’s classroom to view the work they complete at school, before joining the children in the playground for morning tea at 10:25am. Grandparents are then asked to leave at 11:00am, so that the children can continue their school day.
BOOK FAIR
Book Fair in the Library during September 9th - 13th. More information will be sent home in the coming weeks.

TERRA CYCLE
Thank you for the wonderful response to the Colgate program through Terra Cycle. We are still working on this program and would love you to continue showing your support by bringing in used oral hygiene products (empty toothpaste boxed and tubes, used tooth brushes, empty dental floss containers, etc). Please find the collection box in the library. The collection box will finish on the 21st August.
STICKY BEAKS FUNDRAISER
Thank you for all of your support in ordering sticky beaks lunch bags. We have submitted the order and should have it very soon. We thank you for your patience.
During our Health lessons in Term 3, Year 1 is learning about our Beaut Body! We are looking at how our body grows and changes and how we can care for our body. To start our learning 1H are learning about the parts of the body and this week, we are focusing on our skeleton. First we went outside to investigate how our body moves. Bending, stretching, twisting! Then we had to put the parts of our skeleton together. 1H are loving learning about our amazing body and are looking forward to learning more during our excursion to the UOW Discovery Space later this term.
