As Term 3 comes to an end, I wish to acknowledge the efforts of all Nazareth students for what they have achieved during this extended time of remote learning. The support from parents/ carers has been magnificent, but I acknowledge that it has been exceptionally challenging for all families. The staff have been amazing and I know that all parents/carers and children join with me to thank our fantastic staff for the manner in which they have responded to the delivery of remote learning and the provision of supervision.
Nazareth’s classification of Level 4 (remote learning and other restrictions outlined by NSW Health) is expected to remain in place for the commencement of Term 4. As at the time of writing this newsletter, the NSW Government’s return to school dates remain in place. Kindergarten and Year 1 to return Monday October 25, Year 6 and Year 2 to return Monday November 1 and Years 3,4 & 5 to return Monday November 8. Extensive planning is well underway so as to welcome children back to school as per the set return dates.
Please refer to more details in the separate letter sent today from myself and Peter Hill Director of Schools.
During the 2 weeks ahead I hope that everyone is able to rest and enjoy a break from the demands of remote learning. Focus on the things that you are grateful for and remember to pray for those seriously impacted by this pandemic. Take care.

RIPPLES PODCAST
In this different time that we are experiencing, sometimes we need to shut down and clear our minds of the things going on around us. The podcast Ripples: Inspired Voices, Treasured Stillness was developed in response to COVID-19 and from a desire to find new ways to ‘be’ in this environment.
This podcast was developed for staff and parents on-going spiritual formation. It seeks to offer a space where people can draw on the wisdom of a series of guest speakers and can experience some treasured stillness through meditation. Practices like these create a ripple effect. They have the potential to impact the way we respond to family, friends, colleagues, to creation and to our loving God. Come and enjoy some Inspired Voices and Treasured Stillness. The podcast can be listened to through ‘Apple Podcast’ or ‘’Podbean. To access please use this link: https://ripples.dow.catholic.edu.au/
Episodes 27 and 28: RUOK Day 2021 - In Conversation with Paul Field
A conversation with Paul Field who was the lead singer for the Cockroaches and the Manager of the Wiggles for almost 25 years. Paul shares his own story and the impact of people checking in on him at critical times and of the value of reconnecting with those things that bring you life. It is a moving and authentic story and one that reminds us all of the value of a single conversation.

In Religion 5B have been learning about ‘Creation’. We have been discussing ways we can be good stewards of creation and how we can leave our world in a better place. Students designed a t-shirt letting the world know they are planet protectors.

5B are really looking forward to coming back to school in Term 4.
